2008 Golf Tournament

The Klein's Family Markets and the Ralph and Shirley Klein Foundation's Annual Charity Golf Tournament is slated for June 25 and 26, 2008, at Bulle Rock in Havre de Grace. 2008 beneficiaries are Harford United Charities, Forest Hill Recreation Council, and the Humane Society of Harford County.
"As part of our continuing commitment to our community, the Klein family is pleased to dedicate our annual golf tournament to these three worthy charitable organizations," says Marshall J. Klein, the Tournament Chairman. "We are holding the 2008 tournament over two full days because of unprecedented demand from our sponsors and players," Klein adds. "Last year we filled up one whole day almost immediately, and this year we think we can do two complete days, including separate banquets, prizes, awards and competitions. It really allows us to contribute significantly to these worthy non-profit organizations, which touch and improve the lives of so many Harford County citizens."
Harford United Charities was formed in 1998 for the purpose of raising money to support organizations that serve Harford County citizens, and to fill needs that were not being met by public funding.
Forest Hill Recreation Council, founded and incorporated in 1965, is an all-volunteer community organization that provides, organizes and promotes recreation and leisure activities in accordance with the needs of the Forest Hill community.
The Humane Society of Harford County was formed in 1947 by a dedicated group of citizens to provide temporary housing for animals abandoned or left as strays.
